Alvin Mayfield
Alvin Augustus Mayfield was born October 13, 1952 to the late Raymond and Mary Ella Mayfield in Cleveland, OH. Alvin departed this life on Thursday, December 4, 2008. He was preceded in death by his twin brother. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted wife, Patricia (Pringle) Mayfield; twin sisters, Paula Benford and Sandra Mayfield; three sons, one daughter, 11 grandchildren, one great grandchild, five aunts and many nephews, nieces, cousins, sisters- and brothers-in-law, and special friends. Alvin was employed by General Motors for many years and Lear Corp. until he retired. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 10, from 1 to 5 p.m. at Ivy K. Gillespie and Moody Memorial Chapel and one hour prior to service at Temple. Funeral services Thursday, December 11, 2008, at 12 p.m. at New Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C., 1701 Kalamazoo Ave. SE.
