William P. Schreiber of Kalamazoo, MI passed away as of October 24,2021. He was born in NYC in 1927, son of Alice C. and Julius G. Schreiber. He grew up in Canton, IL and graduated from Canton High School in 1945. He served in the Navy during WW II. He graduated from the University of IL and received several degrees. From l953 to 1965, he taught in public schools in IL and MI. He then served as director of student personnel at a public school in NJ. From there he taught education courses and health education courses at Western Michigan University from 1968-1991, during which time he did doctoral work in health education at the University of Michigan .He also served as coordinator of the health education program at WMU for a number of years. He retired in 1991 and pursued various business and recreational activities for his remaining active years. He is predeceased by his brother, J. George Schreiber, 1978, and by his sister, Julie A. Hubbard, 2014, of Scottsdale, AZ. He is survived by a niece, Lisa L. Schreiber Seastrom, a nephew, Ronald D. Conant, two grandnephews, Joseph and Paul Conant. He is also survived by special cousins, Christine Kost and Frederick Snedeker, and other cousins. He was cremated at his request, and his remains will be interred in the family grave site in Geneseo, IL, in a private grave side service at a later date. Affectionately known to family as "Uncle Bill," he dedicated his life to ensuring the success of family members through his wise counsel regarding financial and physical health.
