William "Bill" Wahl

Wahl, William "Bill" Portage Age 93, passed away on Thursday afternoon, July 14, 2022. Bill was born in Kalamazoo on March 20, 1929, the son of Walter and Helen (Lovett) Wahl. On May 19, 1951, he married Elaine Juliana Schrier, who preceded him in death on July 29, 2021. During the Korean War he served in the United States Air Force. He was a long-time member of the West Lake Improvement Association. He loved sports of all kinds, both pro and college. Bill is survived by his children, Randy (Jackie) Wahl, Julie (Jeff) Kish and Mark (Wendi) Wahl; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and countless friends. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents. A private family service is being planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Centricare Care Navigators, c/o the funeral home.
