William "Bill" Rohr, 64, of Otsego, Michigan, tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident Monday, March 25, 2024, near Port Charlotte, FL. Bill was born on September 18,1959 in Kalamazoo, MI to the late George and Gertrude (Martell) Rohr of Alamo. Bill graduated from Otsego High School in 1977 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from Western Michigan University in 1985. Bill married Kimberly S. (Watson) Rohr on January 18,1986 and celebrated 38 years of marriage in 2024. Bill retired from FlexFab, LLC in 2023 as Vice President of Human Resources after 20 years and a successful career in management and human resources. Bill also worked at Harding's Hill Inc., Spartan-Nash, and Perrigo. Bill's favorite pastimes included many outdoor activities such as deer hunting, fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, and sitting by the campfire enjoying time with friends and family. He particularly enjoyed recounting his first professional baseball game experience at the 1984 Detroit Tigers World Series, where he caught Alan Trammell's homerun ball. He was a former member of the Otsego School Board and was a current member of the Otsego Township Planning Commission Board. He also served on boards at the Congregational Church of Otsego and Trowbridge United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife, Kimberly of Otsego and their children, Emily (Charles) Watson stationed at Fort Eisenhower, GA, Kyle (Haley) Rohr of Gulf Shores, AL, Allison Rohr of Grandville, MI, Autumn Rohr (Danny Simon) of Cairo, OH; 8 grandchildren, Chase, Maverick, Meredith, Calli, Kinley, Waylon, Brynn, and Stevie B. Bill's siblings Linda (C.A.) Bowen of Alabama, John (Marcia) Rohr of Portage, Adam (Kim) Rohr of Kalamazoo, Laura (Gerard) Moyer of Kalamazoo. His mother-in-law, Yvonne Watson of Otsego, brother-in-law, Randy (Sharon) Watson of Shelbyville, his sister-in-law, Dawn (Kevin) Brown of Arizona; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents George and Gertrude Rohr of Alamo, brother Edward Rohr of Alamo, and father-in-law, James Watson of Otsego, MI. Visitation opportunities with Bill's family will be on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 2:00-4:00p.m. and 6:00-8:00p.m. at Winkel Funeral Home located at 207 E Allegan St., Otsego, MI 49078. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in the Res Center on the campus of the Resurrection Life Church at 5100 Ivanrest Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418, Pastor Jake Blauwkamp, officiating. Enter at Door E or H. There will be a time to visit with family prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am. Luncheon to follow in the Ground Floor. According to his wishes cremation has taken place.
