Victoria Georgeau

On Monday morning April 18, 2022, a great light, in the midst of our family, diminished and then disappeared. Victoria Lynn Georgeau (Towghi) passed away after a valiant battle with cancer. Vicki was born on August 30th, 1968. Vicki was a delightful child, an excellent student, and a gymnastic athlete. She graduated with honors from Michigan State University and went on to Eastern Michigan University to achieve a master's degree in public administration and Planning. She then went to work for several municipal consultants in the Detroit area and for U.S. Senator Riegle. Vicki came home to Kalamazoo to be near her family and went to work for the City of Portage, where she headed up the Community Development department until her health issues forced her to retire. Vicki was held in high regard by her colleagues in Portage and many other members of government in Kalamazoo County. She leaves behind her devoted husband Omar Towghi, her son Trevor and her daughter Isabel. Also, she is survived by her father Phillip Georgeau and her sister Lisa Mulder. We will miss her and long remember, our "angel flying too close the ground". Memorial Services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Kalamazoo 212 S. Park Street on April 27th from 1 to 3pm.
