Vickie Anderson

Anderson, Victoria L. "Vickie" Portage, MI Victoria "Vickie" Lee Anderson, age 77, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2022, in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born February 2, 1945, in Kalamazoo, MI a daughter of Victor and Mary (Pasquali) Santantonio and had been a lifelong area resident. She was employed by Paris Cleaners, then joined Portage Public Schools in the Food Services Department and, later settling in at Upjohn/Pfizer in the Food Services Department from where she retired. Vickie enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with her family. She loved seeing her grandkids and would do anything she could for them. Vickie was a dog lover and recently lost her 2 beloved dogs, Molly, and Ruby. She enjoyed visiting zoos, theme parks and petting farms with her grandkids. There were many hours spent with her sister Anna doing various activities such as, shopping, going out to eat, going to Indiana, baking, and hosting holiday events. On October 16, 1965, Vickie married Carl O. Anderson who preceded her in death on April 14, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Clara Bowker, and Mary Nichols. Vickie is survived by her son, Andrew (Michelle) Anderson; granddaughters, Emily Anderson, and Olivia Wagner; great-grandson, Wyatt Miller; sister, Anna Ginther; brother, Bill Longest, Jr.; special niece, Wendy Ginther; and nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 10am Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Calvary Reformed Church, 7829 5th St, Mattawan MI 49071, where the funeral will begin at 11am. Committal services will be held at 1:30pm in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Those wishing to attend should be in the cemetery assembly area by 1:15.
