Vicki Marie Hanold (Armbruster), age 70, of Portage, Michigan passed away peacefully on March 6, 2025 in Key West, Florida. Born on December 24, 1954, in Caro, Michigan, to Loren and Edna Armbruster (Golden), Vicki lived a life filled with love, kindness, and unwavering support for her family.

Vicki graduated from Western Michigan University and dedicated her career to educating young minds as a teacher in the Kalamazoo School District. Her passion for teaching was evident in her commitment to her students and her dedication to their growth.

On October 23, 1976, Vicki married the love of her life, Peter William Hanold. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. Vicki was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and creating cherished memories. She loved gathering everyone (especially the grandchildren) together for holidays and celebrations.

Vicki was a loving and kind soul, known for her supportive nature and gentle spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be forever remembered by those who knew her. A constant source of amusement, and sometimes exasperation, was a well-timed (or poorly timed, depending on who you asked) joke or a gentle tease about her cooking from her husband and sons. With a twinkle in her eye and a patient smile, she knew it was their way of showing affection, and she embraced the laughter and chaos that came with it.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Pete Hanold; her children, Ryan (Jennifer) Hanold, Justin (Courtney) Hanold, and Brandon (Kristin) Hanold; her cherished grandchildren, Jaden, Austin, Myles, Kaylee, Olivia, Jackson, and Jameson; her brothers, Curtis (Randi Black) Armbruster and Dennis (Kimberley) Armbruster; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A Memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
