Verna Lindberg

Verna B. Lindberg, aged 86, of Dutton, formerly of Stanton and Palmetto, FL, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Verna worked as a Deputy in the Kent County Jail for 26 years, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Stanton, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; and brothers, Raymond, Herman, Joseph Allen, and John Baldwin. Verna will be deeply missed by her family and friends, including her children, Linda (David) Pieters, Kenneth (Nancy) Lindberg; her grandchildren, Jack (Susan) Pieters, Andrea (Dave) Oade, Robin Engelsman, Kelly (Julie) Lindberg; five great grandchildren, Page, Andrew, Cameron, Jacob, Peyton; her sister, Alice Boyd; and brother, Elton (Wilma) Baldwin; sisters-in-law, Marigrace Baldwin, Alice Baldwin; and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, June 6, at First Congregational Church of Stanton, 305 N. Camburn St., with Pastor Jamey Nichols officiating.
