Vance Bigley

Vance Eric Bigley, age 79, of Kalamazoo, passed away on September 6, 2025. He was born on March 18, 1946, in Kalamazoo to the late Gordon Albert and Edna E. (VanSickler) Bigley.

Vance served honorably in the United States Army. He worked for many years in different capacities at Farm & Fleet and as a machinist at various companies. A skilled mechanic, Vance enjoyed working on cars for himself and others. In his free time, he loved fishing, attending car races, racing motorcycles, woodworking, and camping with his family in Northern Michigan and Canada.

Vance was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth Brunt.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Ann (Smeltzer) Bigley; sons, Eric (LuAnn) Bigley and Samuel Bigley; granddaughter, Olivia; his brother, Bruce (June) Bigley; and several nieces and nephews.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation will take place, and no services will be held.

Donations in Vance's memory may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association, or a veteran's organization of one's choosing.
