Udell Gonder

Udell (Dell) Eugene Gonder, age 65, of Kalamazoo, MI died July 9, 2016. Udell was born January 16, 1951 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Rev. Eugene A. Gonder, Sr. and Minnie Barnes Gonder. Udell grew up in Kalamazoo where he was educated in the Kalamazoo school system and where he worked with his family's business, Masters Cleaners. Udell later joined the U. S. Armed Forces where he served several years. Udell was a life-long member of Allen Chapel AME Church. Udell passed from this life on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Bronson Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Udell was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Eugene A. Gonder, Sr. and his mother Minnie Barnes Gonder. Also preceding Udell in death were three brothers, Charles J. Gonder, Sr., Eugene H. Gonder, Jr. and Bennie Gonder, Sr. Udell leaves to mourn his passing two brothers, Robert (Patricia) Gonder in Cornelius, N.C. and Leroy Gonder in Bowie, MD, a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A memorial service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 29, at Fort Custer Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Whitley Memorial Funeral Home
