Lafler, Tracey 12/12/1962 - 11/10/2022 Parchment Tracey D. Lafler, 59, of Parchment, passed away Thursday November 10, 2022 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. Tracey was born December 12, 1962, in Royal Oak, the daughter of William and Sandra (Barry) Lafler, Jr. Tracey graduated from Parchment High School and attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Tracey loved watching WWE wrestling, she loved horses and volunteered at Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center. Tracey's life was physically challenged since age 15, having suffered seizures and strokes throughout her life. Tracey was mischievous, resilient, an expert cheater at games, generous, and always excited to be with her large family, she loved the attention her cousins showered upon her. She was grateful for what she had and left a legacy of courage and positive perspective to those she left behind. She is survived by her father, Bill (Judy DeGraaf), three siblings, Kelley (Denny) Howard, Shannon Distefano, Barry (Amy) Lafler; seven nieces and nephews, Chad (Sara) Howard, Tyler (Shannon) Howard, Dominic (Savannah) Distefano, Anthony Distefano, Evan Lafler, Kassandra Lafler, and Addison Lafler; great nieces and nephews, Ben, Lydia, Nina, Harvey, Cooper and Clarke Howard; a dear friend Renate Savage; and a large extended family in Detroit, Iowa, Tennessee and Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sandra. Tracey has selflessly donated her body to the University of Michigan for study and to help others avoid the suffering she has endured. The family will be hosting an open house gathering with food and beverage from 1:00-5:00 pm, Sunday, November 20, at Indian Run Golf Club, 6359 RS Avenue, Scotts, MI 49088. Memorial contributions may be directed to The Arc Community Advocates.
