Thomas Kanet

Kanet, Thomas "Jerry" Otsego Thomas "Jerry" Kanet, age 82, passed away Thursday, November 10, 2022 at his home in Otsego. He was born October 5, 1940, to the late Charles and Ethel (Buerger) Kanet in Cincinnati, OH. Thomas enjoyed sports and coin collecting and was known for his trivia knowledge of all things. He is survived by his three children, David Matteson, Brooke (Matthew) Bakhuyzen, and Colleen Broadhurst (Michael Warner); sixteen grandchildren, Samuel, Joshua, Benjamin, Faith, Esther, Sarah, Abigail, Timothy and Seth Bakhuyzen, Xander, Zacory, Autumn and Ember Broadhurst, Sylas Warner, Alexis and Allana Matteson; Siblings, Charlie, Garnette, Donna, Lois, Jack, Vera, and Claire. Preceding him in death were his parents; grandson, Levi Bakhuysen; and siblings, Bill, Vernon and Jim. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial service planned for a later date.
