Thomas Fitzpatrick

Age 76, passed away in the home he resided in continuously since before age two on Friday, February 28, 2025. He was born in Kalamazoo on January 17, 1949, the son of Nelson F. and Esther E. (Sprau) Fitzpatrick. Tom graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School, Class of 1967. He was employed for many years at Frost Westwood Standard Service and later Treystar, retiring in 2014. In Tom's younger years he was an avid bowler. He enjoyed watching many spectator sports throughout his life and was an especially enthusiastic fan of NASCAR Racing. Tom took great pride in raising and nurturing beautiful flowers in his yard during the warmer months of the year. He was loved by those who knew him and will be missed. Tom is survived by his brother, Michael (Janet) Fitzpatrick; nephew, Eric (Kathryn) Fitzpatrick; great-niece, Emma Fitzpatrick; great-nephews, William and Ryan Fitzpatrick; a stepbrother, Barry Fate; many cousins, extended family and friends. He preceded in passing by his parents; a stepfather, Harry J. Fate; many aunts, uncles and cousins. In accordance with his wish, cremation will take place and family services to honor his life will be held at a later date.
