Theresa Fitzsimmons-Roberts

Theresa M. Fitzsimmons-Roberts of Kalamazoo, MI. Age 47, went to be with the Lord on May 13, 2017, after a battle with Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Theresa was born in Kalamazoo on August 19, 1969, the daughter of Victor and Patricia (Papierz) Fitzsimmons Sr. She graduated from Portage Central, Class of 1988, and later received an Associate's Degree from KVCC. Theresa had a zest for life and a strong faith in the Lord. She had a positive outlook even in the most difficult of times. She enjoyed being around people and had a selfless attitude. She loved being outdoors and in nature, enjoyed gardening, arts, crafts and was an avid reader. She was very driven and worked in the banking industry for nearly 20 years. When not working Theresa loved to travel and go camping. She loved her pet dogs Jake and Gibson. Above all, Theresa loved her family and friends and leaves them with the memories of a life well lived. She will be missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her only son, Joshua Roberts; parent, Victor and Pat; a brother, Victor Fitzsimmons Jr.; fianc, Ronald Wesaw Jr.; many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She was preceded in passing by her grandparents. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 18, 2017, from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, beginning at 11:00am, at Texas Corners Bible Church, 7780 S. 8th St, Kalamazoo, MI 49009, with Pastor David Thompson officiating.
