Theodore (Ted) A Philips, 86, husband of Marguerite (Troy) Philips, died on November 24, 2016. Ted was born in Stamford, CT on June 13, 1930, son of Anthony and Stella Rysz Przybylowicz. In addition to his wife Marguerite of 64 years, he is survived by three children, Joseph (Elaine) Philips of Southington, CT; Eileen (Richard) Phillips of Kalamazoo, MI and Jim Philips of Midvale, Utah; two sisters Lois (Moosa) Salman of Darien, CT and Donna (Abdul) JanMohamed of Berkeley, CA; four grandchildren Joseph Philips Jr, Lauren Michelli, Tom Philips and Bob Phillips.

Ted was a lifelong resident of Stamford until five years ago when he and his wife moved to Kalamazoo, MI to live with his daughter. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church for most of his life. A memorial service will be planned for a future date.

Ted retired from Southern New England Telephone Company in 1987. He was a PBX supervisor for much of his thirty-two years of service. He was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers. He was a member of Post 9617 VFW and the American Legion. Ted was an infantry combat veteran of the Korean War, returning home with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Ted and his wife enjoyed traveling in their motor home; they loved visiting family and friends all around the country. He was a member of the Good Samaritan's Club, the Family Motor Coaching Association and the Mountain Laurel Travelers. He was a life member of the Halloween Yacht Club and enjoyed fishing and boating all his life.

Ted was dearly loved by his wife, family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
