Theodore Parsons

Parsons, Theodore W. "Ted" Plainwell, MI Theodore Parsons passed away Saturday morning, May 22, 2021, at Rose Arbor Hospice. Ted was born November 3, 1942, the son of Leonard and Elizabeth (Bradt) Parsons in Evanston, Illinois. Ted earned a Bachelor Degree at Beloit College in Wisconsin. After college Ted farmed the family farm in Dundee Illinois for almost 20 years. He then founded Mapco and distributed Rand McNally maps and atlases in the state of Michigan. In 1991 he married Mary Miller. They enjoyed many years at Sandy Pines. Ted was a Chicago sports fan through and through, following the Bears, Bulls and Blackhawks, and was thankful to get to see the Cubs win a world series in his lifetime. Survivors include his sons, Robert of Kalamazoo, Joseph of Otsego and Sam of Greeley, Colorado; step –son, Ken Miller of Kalamazoo; grandchildren, Lenny, Reece, Aiden and Evelyn; and siblings, Virginia (Bill) of Reno, Nevada and Kathy of Brookline, Vermont; Don of Reno, Nevada and David(Pam) of Scottsdale, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Mary, whom he lovingly called "Pita". According to his wishes cremation has taken place. Private family services will be held.
