Terry passed away Feburary 28th, 2020. Terry was born January 13, 1940 at Borgess Hospital, the son of Scott and Arlene Glidden. Terry married his true love, Coralynn Lowman, August 13, 1961, who survives him and he was a loving and devoted father and husband. Terry was a teacher and coach for over 30 years, 6 at Climax Scotts and 26 at BHS and he was a long time member of Simpson United Methodist Church of Bangor. Terry accepted the head football coaching position for Bangor High School in 1967 and he and Corky have called Bangor home for over 50 years. Terry was an avid runner and in 1985 ran the Detroit Marathon. He was named the Red Arrow Conference Girls Cross Country Coach in 1991. Terry suffered a massive stroke in 1993 and lived the rest of his life as an inspiration to all who knew him. He was named Bangor City "Man of the Year" in 1994. Terry was inducted into the Bangor Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995. Terry continued to follow Bangor and WMU athletics throughout his life. He especially looked forward to going to WMU's Comm University football every year. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Coralynn; his two sons, Trevor Glidden of Lawton, Corbin (Kim) of Galesburg; 4 grandchildren, Breanna Glidden, Sammy Fry-Glidden, Aydin and Fia Glidden; 3 sisters, Gerry Coffman-Glidden, Mary (Rick) Diemer, Sherry (Dave) Reinhoel; sister-in-law, Pat Rowley; brother-in-law, Robert (Mary Sue) Lowman and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his daughter, Tiffany Glidden and his father and mother, Scott and Arlene Glidden. The family will meet friends Saturday, March 21, from 1:00 until time of memorial service at 3 PM, at Simpson United Methodist Church in Bangor. Arrangements entrusted to the Bangor Chapel, D.L.
