Sue Almeida-Thilleman, age 71, passed away early Friday morning, November 18, 2016 in Scottsdale, AZ. Sue was born in Racine on August 22, 1945, daughter of the late Joseph and Cathryn (nee: Asby) Vosika.

Sue graduated from Washington Park High School, “Class of 1963” Sue was employed in the Research and Development Department at S.C. Johnson Wax for many years. Lastly, after the passing of her husband Larry, she assumed his position as President of Contact Rubber in Bristol. Concerning Sue’s health problems, she never thought of it as fighting the good fight. She always handled it with such grace and dignity and a smile on her face. She proved to be a wonderful sister, step-mother, grandmother and aunt.

Sue will be dearly missed by her sister, Lynn (Michael) O’Brien; nephew, Sean (Amy) O’Brien, and their children, Rece, Katie and Camden; niece, Erin O’Brien; step daughter, Stacey Dahms and her children, Brandon (Jessica) Boutain, Jessica Dahms, Drake Dahms; great-grandson, Warren Boutain; step-daughter, Stephanie (David) Honan, and their children, Clare and Sean Honan; sister-in-law, Janice Brown; niece, Allison Bader and her children, Dominic, Cameron, and Zachary; nephew, Jason (Andrea) Brown and their children, Brady and Colin; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Sue was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence “Larry” Almeida in 1994 and Ron Thilleman in 2005, her brother Terry this past August 18, 2016, and brother-in-law, Terry Brown.

Funeral services will be held at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 4701 Erie Street, on Monday November 28, 2016, 12:00 p.m., with Rev. Dustin Fecht officiating. Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, American Cancer Society, Multiple Lymphoma Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the Honor Flight Program have been suggested.
