Steven Price

Steven Wayne Price, age 55, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on Monday, August 24th 2015. Steven was born in Kalamazoo on October 14, 1959. He was a graduate of Vicksburg High School Class of 1977. He served with the United States Marine Corp. Following his service with the Marines, he served with the Michigan National Guard for twenty years. He had been working for Trinity Warehouse for the past sixteen years. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren. Steven enjoyed baseball and was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Linda Price; seven children, Samantha (Shane) Gover, Cassandra Price, Quentin Price and Katherine Price, Stacy (Ward) Downer, Scott First and Danny (Jennifer) First; his mother, Katherine Finch. He was "Popi" to fourteen grandchildren, Rhys, Elizabeth, Lexi, Syndey, Walter, Kyle, Ryan, Harley (Noah), Kendyle, Brendan, Drew, Dekin, Landon and Kolby. He is also survived by one brother and three sisters, Robert (Lynne) Price Jr., Christine (Greg) Guthrie, Angela (Tim) Michael and Sandy (Chuck) Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Steven was preceded in death by his father, Robert Price Sr. and his step-father, Harry Finch. Friends may visit with the family from 12 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 29th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Portage Chapel, 411 East Centre Avenue, Portage, MI 49002. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Harold Brown . Cremation will follow after the service. Memorial contributions may be given to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
