Steve "Mari" Ivory

Steve “Mari” Ivory, 18, of Mt. Pleasant, WI passed away suddenly on March 2, 2024. Mari, as he was affectionally known as, was born on June 29, 2005, in Racine, WI. He graduated from Case High School in 2023.

Mari was outgoing and made himself comfortable in any environment, making strangers, family and friends laugh as if it was his career. Mari was a fashion guru. His smile was contagious. He walked with confidence even when he was uncertain of the path. He will be greatly missed.

Mari leaves to cherish his memories: His parents, Lynnette LaGrone, Reginald McClain, and Eugene Flanagan; Grandmothers, Caroline LaGrone and Mydersteen Canady; His sisters: Ebonie Stinson, DáMillie Goldsmith, Breanne Lester, Kirretta McClain, Anaesia Burton, and Diamond McClain; his brothers: Reginald McClain Jr., Arnez Caldwell Brown, Darrick Holmes, Darreyo Holmes, and Kylan Brown; His aunties: Chiquita Bolling, Tonya Evans, Vickie Stanciel, and Raeann (Vermil) Gist, and a host of other relatives and friends.

While we will miss him terribly, the family wants you to know he is home with our Savior, Jesus, and we rejoice in knowing we will see him again. We also know Mari would want you to know that same gift is available to you (John 3:16).

A celebration of life will be held at New Omega Baptist Church, 5731 Northwestern Avenue on Mar 22, 2024 at 11:00am, with Reverend Johnny Ford officiating. Visitation will be from 9am until the time of service, at the church.

Entombment will be held at Mound Cemetery.
