Stephen Kiss

Stephen J. Kiss, 77, of Fennville, died Saturday, June 21, 2008, at his daughters home.

The son of Michael J. Kiss and Susan Hardy Kiss, he was born on May 8, 1931 in Chicago, Il. A veteran of the US Air Force, he married Sally (Johnson) Kiss Jan. 16, 1954, and she preceded him in death on March 7, 1994. He retired as a plant facility manager at General Electric in Holland after 36 years. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Douglas, MI, the Knights of Columbus, and the V.F.W.

Surviving are his children; Michael and Kathy Kiss of Hamilton, Margaret Mokma and Jeff Beithiaume of Douglas, James Kiss, Stephen and Peggy Kiss, Monica and Michael Jones, and Maria and Robert Crane, all of Fennville. Thirteen Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Brothers John and Lucille Kiss of Fennville, George and Jimalee Thomas of Arkansas. Sisters Patricia and Steve Acker of Texas, Kathy and Ivan Petross and Susan and Tommy Rogers all of Arkansas. Many nieces and nephews, and his devoted friend Rose Onken.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at St. Peter's Catholic Church Douglas, MI. Visitation will be Monday, June 23, 2008 from 6-9 P.M. with a Rosary starting at 6:00 P.M. at the Chappell Funeral Home in Fennville, also Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. till service time at the church. Officiating will be Rev. Ronald Turcich, and burial will be in Fennville Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Holland.
