Stephen C. Bultema

Age 64, died July 29, 2015 at his home. Stephen was born May 11, 1951 in Kalamazoo, the son of Carl “Bill” and Agnes (Strong) Bultema. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1969, earned his Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and received his Master’s degree from the University of Michigan in Naval Architecture. Stephen designed oil platforms for the oil industry. He enjoyed swimming, cycling and genealogy. Steve was a humble and private person, but had friends he remained close with his entire life. He was preceded in death by his father, Carl “Bill” Bultema and by a sister, Mary Beth Bultema. Surviving are his mother, Agnes Bultema; 3 siblings: Michael Bultema, Kate Bultema and Lynnette Abbate; 6 nieces and nephews and several close friends. Private services were held with burial at Grand Prairie Cemetery.
