Stanley Wixom

K. Stanley Wixom, age 79, of Gobles, MI passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his home. Stanley was born October 1, 1937 in South Lion, MI, the son of Kenneth and Beatrice "Helen" Wixom and had lived in the Gobles area the past 24 years after moving from the Howell, MI area. Stanley enjoyed horses, rodeo, reading humorous books and especially loved spending time with his family. Stanley was known for his story telling of years past. He was a career truck driver serving at several local transportation companies. Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Kathryn; 3 sons, Richard (Robyn) Wixom, Greg (Katrina) Wixom and Lynn (Carol) Wixom; 10 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Dorothy Hanner and Beth (Jerry) Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Carol VanValkenburg. Following his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
