Shirley Roberts

Shirley A. Roberts, age 87, of Three Rivers, MI passed away on Friday February 23, 2018 at Safe Haven Assisted Living Center. She was born on August 12, 1930 in Adella, Iowa, to the late Herman Steege & Almiria (Dingman) Palmer. On August 27, 1949 she married Daniel A. Roberts Sr., in Constantine, MI., he preceded her in death in July 1994. Shirley is survived by her children: Doug (Cindy) Roberts, Kathie Roberts, Sarah Roberts, Daniel (Sherry) Roberts Jr., Mark A. (Cheryl) Roberts, a brother, Kenny (Angie) Palmer, 29 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Shirley was a life-time member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she held several positions, one of her most cherished was playing the piano for the congregation. She was preceded in death by daughter Julie Paul, two sisters Winfred Bowman and Betty Nisley. Per Shirley's wishes there will be no services or visitation. A private family gathering will take place in the spring at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be given to St. Jude's Children's Research or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
