Shirley Engles-Moore

Engles-Moore, Shirley 8/22/2021 Copperopolis, CA Shirley Engles-Moore passed away on Sunday August 22, 2021 at the age of 85. Born in 1936, in Kalamazoo Mi., She grew up and raised a family there. During the great depression, her parents had difficulty providing for her, So Shirley's aunt and uncle took her in. Her aunt read her Bible stories which became a foundation for her trust in Jesus. In 1954, She began college at WMU whare she met John, a Korean war vetran. They married and raised a family. Their marriage endured until John passed away in 1997. Shirley worked at GM. One of her coworkers, who became a close friend witnessed an inner strength and confidence develop in Shirley during their employment and long commutes to work. In 1999, Shirley retired and moved to California. She remarried and enjoyed her remaining years with Henry Moore, her 2nd husband. She is preceded in death by 1st husband, John Engles and daughter, Sharon Engles. She is survived by her daughter Teri (John) Frederickson and son Jerry (Amanda) Engles. Her 2nd husband, Henry Moore passed away shortly after. A memorial service For Shirley and her husband, Henry, will be held at 3 pm, May 6, at Mount Ever Rest Memorial Park, 3491 S.
