Sharon Weessies

Sharon Weessies went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at home. Sharon was born August 7, 1949, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of the late Matthew and Trena Onderlinde. Sharon graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High in 1967 and earned her nursing degree from Kellogg Community College. She was first employed with Borgess Hospital, which transitioned to Homemakers Upjohn, a classroom aid with Special Ed, and finally several years with Dr William Raino at Kalamazoo Neurology. She was a lifelong member of the Grace Christian Reformed Church. On November 7, 1969, she was united in marriage to her loving husband David Weessies. Surviving is her husband, children Jonathan and Lauren Weessies, brothers Larry (Amy) Onderlinde, Scott (Jan) Onderlinde, and Mark Onderlinde, all of Kalamazoo. Sharon will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, faith and love for her family and friends. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00PM on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial and Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street, Kalamazoo, Michigan 49009. Per her request no memorial service will be held at this time. Private interment will take place in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Grace Christian Reformed Church, Kalamazoo Christian School Association, or a worthy cause of your choice.
