Sarita Dorothy Fandrei Mannaberg, age 66 of Plainwell passed away on July 26, 2015 at her home after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Sarita was born April 17, 1949 in Detroit to Henry and Dorothy (Pascoe) Fandrei. She was a special education teacher for the KRESA School District retiring in 2010. She was also an active member of Hope Lutheran Church of Plainwell and the Kalamazoo Downstreamers Family Canoe Club. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church; 290 12th Street, Plainwell (269) 685-1348. Interment will follow at 4:30 p.m. in Ridgeview Memorial Gardens, 5151 8th Avenue SW, Grandville, 49418. Sarita was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by Her husband Cary, her children Rudy E. Cox and Katie E. (Travis) May, her grandchildren: Reyna and Zara; her brother Henry (Carolyn) Fandrei, her nephews: Graham (Rebekah) Fandrei and their children-Marcello, Grayson and Merrick ;and Christopher (Amanda) Fandrei and their children- Garrett, Cortland and Michaela; her niece Candice Fandrei (Duane Ingram); Sarita’s ward- Barbra Shurlow , her mother & father-in-law Walter and Eva Mannaberg; her sisters-in-law Leslie (Elie)Rosario and their children Niki and Justine, and Deanna (David) Taylor and their children Dylan and Dean as well as many other relatives.
