Sandra Weeda

Sandra Kay Weeda (VanGiessen), age 60, passed from time into eternity on July 22, 2018. Sandy was born February 25, 1958 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Garrett and Helen (DeVries) VanGiessen. On April 4, 1986, she was united in marriage to Leendert Weeda, who survives. Also surviving are their children Justin (Karalyn) Weeda, Cherene (James) Grisnich, Brandon Weeda, Jolissa Weeda, Jeremy Weeda; grandchildren Jayden and Keegan Weeda, Samantha and Benjamin Grisnich; her parents Garrett and Helen VanGiessen; her siblings Sheryl VanGiessen, Gary VanGiessen, Randy (Trudy) VanGiessen, Mary (Andrew) Kieboom; in-laws Jennie (Klaas) Paauw, Marjorie Weeda, Marinus (Liz) Weeda, Linda Weeda, Trudy (Henk) DeBlieck, Connie (Gary) Otten, Martin (Jolanda) Weeda; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00PM on Tuesday, July 24th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street. The funeral service will be held at 10:00AM at the Netherlands Reformed Congregation (108 Pratt Road) with Rev. Herman Hofman officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park North. Memorials in Sandy's memory may be directed to Bethesda Memory Care Home or Providence Christian School.
