Samuel G. Hernandez, age 68, passed away surrounded by his family at home on Thursday, April 11, 2024. He was born in San Antonio, TX, December 23, 1955, son of the late Jose and Francisca (Nee: Gomez) Hernandez.

He will be remembered for his “smart ass” sense of humor and his storytelling. Above all he treasured time spent with his family especially his grandchildren. Sam was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

God saw him getting tired,

And a cure was not to be;

So He put his arms around him,

And whispered, “Come To Me”.

With tearful eyes we watched him suffer,

And saw him slowly fade away;

Although we loved him dearly,

We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

hard working hands put to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us,

He only takes the best.
