Ruth Hinderer

Hinderer, Ruth Marie Of Jackson, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2016 only three days before her 108th birthday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard "Bill" Hinderer in 1984 as well as an infant daughter; son, Ronald; two sisters and two brothers. Ruth is survived by her son, Robert Hinderer of Portage, Michigan; three grandchildren, James, Jeff and Jill (Jay) also seven great grandchildren; a very dear friend and mother of her grandchildren, Mrs. Chas (Penny) Ritenbough of Florida. She was born to Solomon and Adeline (Brewer) Deffenbaugh in Cornell, Illinois. Ruth had a strong Faith in the Lord and was a member of Clark Lake Community Church. She participated with organizations such as, Sarah Treat Prudden Chapter of D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution), Jackson City Women's Club, several Bridge Clubs, and Bingo. Ruth touched the hearts of many and will be greatly missed. Cremation has been selected and a service honoring her life will be held at Chas. J. Burden & Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at 12:00 noon with Pastor John Reed officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.
