Royeen Lee Heins, age 80, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Medical Center. She was born in St. Edward, NE, December 21, 1935 daughter of the late Roy and Leone (Nee: Eilers) Weldon, and step-daughter of the late Allen Lambert.

On July 4, 1959 in Caro, MI, she was united in marriage to J. George Heins Jr., who passed away March 18, 2015. Royeen resided in Gladwin, MI for 25 years moving to Racine after George passed away to be near her daughter. Royeen was an active member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Gladwin and was a member of the Cass City Lioness Club. Her working career started with Michigan Bell where she was employed as a switchboard operator, then with the Cass City School as a Teachers Aid and lastly as a Pharmacy Tech. She was an avid card player, loved to read, and enjoyed exploring and climbing many lighthouses throughout the country. Above all she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her children, David (Lisa) Heins of North Wales, PA, Tamra (Dale) Allen of Racine; grandchildren, Davison John and Kylin Walton; 2 brothers, Thomas (Mary Lynne) Lambert, Terry (Marsha) Lambert; other relatives and dear friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016, 7:00 P.M. at Preservation Hall of Racine, 740 Lake Ave. Relatives and friends may meet at the hall from 6:00 P.M. until time of service. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held in Gladwin, MI. Details to follow. Memorials to the Gladwin Public Library have been suggested.
