Ronald Kasiorek

Kasiorek, Ronald 7/23/1949 - 6/5/2020 Grand Rapids, MI Ronald Vincent Kasiorek, age 70, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away in the company of his family on Friday, June 5, 2020. Ron was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Vicksburg and Portage, Michigan, graduating from Portage Northern High School in 1967. He was a talented musician and a highly-regarded baseball and softball player, playing on men's leagues for many years. On January 31, 1971, he married Jeanne, his loving partner of 50 years. A lifelong Chicago sports fan, he enjoyed rooting for his beloved Cubs and Bears, but also suffered through being a Lions fan. Ron was a longtime volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, working with countless youth as an Eagle Scout counselor with Troop 250 in Byron Center and as a regular volunteer with the Gerald R. Ford Council. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Gladys Kasiorek, and two infant brothers. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; sons, Jason (Kathleen) and Chris (Connie); grandchildren, Caitlin, Cyrus, Mackenzie, and Cassius; and siblings, John Kasiorek and Sande Sawyers. A Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be announced. Memorial gifts in Ron's honor can be made to the President Ford Council, Boy Scouts of America
