Robert W. Davidson

Age 97, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020. Bob was born in Kalamazoo, on April 12, 1923, the son of Don J. and Elizabeth Sarah (DeBack) Davidson. On September 17, 1949, he married Betty Jane DeRuyscher who preceded him in death on January 19, 2012. Since her death he missed her terribly. Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Bob had been a breeder of German Shepherds. He thought being kind to animals was very important. In his later years he enjoyed going with friends to the casino. He and Betty enjoyed traveling, especially to Northern Michigan. Bob was grateful for the wonderful life he had been given. He is survived by friends, Bhaskar and Padma Pisipati, Bob and Diane Arnold, and Julie Smith. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister. No services are being planned. Bob and Betty will be laid to rest at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo SPCA, c/o the funeral home.
