Robert Price

Price, Robert E. of Kalamazoo Bob passed away late Wednesday evening, July 6, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born on September 26, 1928 in Kalamazoo, the son of the late Thurlo and Winifred (Brockway) Price. On April 16, 1949, Bob was united in marriage to Marilyn J. Longjohn. He was employed by Allied Paper for over 43 years until his retirement. Bob was a longtime member of North Park Reformed Church and loved fishing, camping, playing bingo and traveling with family. Surviving are four children: Judy (Glen) Pretzer of Parchment, Gary (Linda) Price of Galesburg, Mike Price of Galesburg, and Rob (Chris) Price of Kalamazoo; daughter-in-law: Dotti Price of Flint; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister: Delores Ellsworth of Kalamazoo. Preceding him in death were his wife of 61 years: Marilyn Price; son: Ron Price; and sister, Marian Collum. Funeral services for Bob were at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 9, at North Park Reformed Church, 1316 Barney Road. Rev. Gerald Longjohn officiated. Interment followed in Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park.
