Robert Austin Nash, 81, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2021. He was born as a son to Harold and Katharine (Osborne) Nash in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania, on November 30, 1939. After graduating from Media High School in 1957, Bob attended Delaware Valley College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology in 1966. He received a Master's Degree in management from Nazareth College in 1991. Bob is survived by Charlene, his devoted wife of more than 50 years as well as daughters Amy (Dan) Libey, Jennifer (Mark) Adams, a son David (Linda) Nash, a sister Mary Lynne Clark, and a niece (Kimberly) and nephew (Erik). Bob worked for The Upjohn Company as a veterinary sales rep in New England and eventually became the Worldwide Marketing Manager of the International Animal Health division, a position that enabled him to travel all over the globe. He was active in the Richland Presbyterian Church all his live, serving as a deacon for many years and as a Sunday school teacher for high school students. Bob's favorite church activity was choir, and he often sang for weddings, funerals and for many, many Sunday services. Bob's family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, 9170 East D Avenue in Richland. A private family-only funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 17 at the Richland Presbyterian Church. The service will be live-streamed at www.farleyestesdowdle.com. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of SW Michigan, 7100 Stadium Drive, Kalamazoo 49009 or to the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue, 2938 Business One Drive, Kalamazoo, MI 49048.
