Robert M. Hendershot, 74, of Scotts, MI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Feb. 25, 2023. Bob graduated from Delton Kellogg High School in 1966 before enlisting in the US Army where he served as a field radio mechanic during Vietnam, from 1967-1969. Bob married the love of his life, Beverly (Travis) on June 14, 1969. Together they had one daughter, Loretta in 1972. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and serving his community as an EMT for Climax, Galesburg, and Emmet Twps. He worked for Brunswick/InterKal as a Quality Control Manager for 20+ years. He then worked for Climax-Scotts School District as a bus driver and janitor before retiring in 2013. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beverly (Travis) Hendershot; daughter, Loretta (Mark) Hendershot; his only grandson, Brody Thrasher; brothers: Chuck (Sherry) and Alan (Marsha) McCarty; sister: Marlene (Jim) Francis; brothers: Larry (Terry) and Leo (Rose) Hendershot; sister: Linda (Bill) McNutt; several stepsiblings and nieces/nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: Merle Hendershot and Mary (Lyle) Munyon; sister Darlene Munyon; two nephews Tyler McCarty and John Hendershot. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 1, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 PM Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Burial & Cremation Services, 205 E. Maple Street, Climax, 49034. A celebration of life will take place on his 75th birthday, March 2, 2023, at 12:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor John Fulton presiding.
