Robert Lee Haymans, 92, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in his home in Avon Lake, Ohio.

Bob was Born February 2, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan and grew-up in Berkley Michigan, the youngest of three children. Bob served in the Army stationed in Heidelberg, Germany in the Adjutant General's Division. Upon honorable discharge Bob returned to Kalamazoo College to finish his B.A. degree. Two months after his graduation he married Donna, the love of his life. Bob and Donna were married 62 years. They spent several years in the greater Detroit suburbs attending Northbrook Presbyterian, then moved and spent 35 years living at/on Lake Doster Golf Course in Plainwell, Michigan attending Kalamazoo First Presbyterian, before leaving to move close to their 2 children here in the Cleveland area.

Professionally, Bob was a Salesman for Menswear traveling Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. After retirement Bob managed a golf pro-shop for many years.

Besides family, Bob has a deep love of dogs, Lake Michigan, The University of Michigan, and was passionate about Golf. Bob proudly boasts of his 4 hole-in-ones.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Lynda Haymans Fetchet (John) of Columbia Station; his son, Robert Scott Haymans of Berea; five grandchildren, Crystal Manley (Ethan), John R. Fetchet, Kaley Marshall, Samantha Haymans (Andrew Frederick), and Robert Sonny Haymans; three great grandchildren, Emmitt Manley, Hazel Manley, and Braylon Mendez; his sister, Jean Heare; his beloved sister-in-law and brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna; and his sister Euphemia Olert.

The family will greet friends Saturday, May 20, 2023, from 10:30am to 11:45am, with the prayer service beginning at 11:45, at Liston Funeral Home 36403 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, OH 44039. Pastor Dave Swartz will officiate. Following the prayer service, a light luncheon will be held at Lynda and John's home, for friends and family.
