Rick Hemmeke

Rick Hemmeke, 46, of Irons, formerly of Holland, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004 at his home. He was a self-employed builder and had attended West Ottawa High School. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ted and Evelyn Gajewski and John Hemmeke. He is survived by his son, Kevin Hemmeke of Holland; mother, Barb and Bob Canfield of Holland; father, Ken Hemmeke of Lake Panasoffkee, Fla.; grandmother, Janet Wells of Engelwood, Fla.; brothers and sisters, Terry Hemmeke of West Olive, Shelly Hemmeke of West Olive, and Kenlyn and Jeff Smith of Holland; nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation is 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Lakeshore Memorial Services, 11939 James St. A private family service will be officiated by the Rev. Robert Terpstra. Burial will be in Port Sheldon Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
