Richard Wickham

Richard D. Wickham, age 63, of Portage, MI passed away Monday evening, September 26, 2016 at his home. Richard was born April 18, 1953 in Coldwater, Michigan, the son of Edmund and Anna (Evard) Wickham. He was a licensed builder and worked for several years with AAM. Richard belonged to the Local Union #2093 and enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed woodworking and spending time with the WMU Aphasia Communication Enhancement Program. He is survived by his children, Josh (Heather) Wickham, Shannon Wickham, Sarah (Brad) VanTassal, Jared Wickham, Noah Wickham; 5 grandchildren, Ella, Simon, Liana, Emmett, and Thaddeus; a brother, Dennis (Joan) Wickham; and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Harold. Services will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 30 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 South 9th Street with Fr. James Adams officiating. Friends may meet the family from 10:00-11:00am on Friday prior to the service. Private family interment will be held in Portage Central Cemetery.
