Richard "Rich" Allen Nutt

Richard Nutt, age 76, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, surrounded by his family. A celebration of life for Richard will be held on Saturday, March 23rd from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Mike & Angelo’s in the Western Village Mall, at 6214 Washington Ave. (Hwy 20).

Richard was born September 11, 1947, in Fort Knox, KY. He served in the Navy from 1968-1970. He was stationed in Charleston, SC on the submarine tender USS Hunley. He graduated from UW Parkside with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.

After college, Richard went on to work at Modine Manufacturing for 29 years where he worked his way from Engineering to Piedmont Regional Manager and retired as Manufacturing and Distribution Manager for the Aftermarket Division.

Richard was an avid golfer, loved college sports, and working in the yard on his John Deere tractor. He had great stories to tell and was always cracking jokes. Jen and Jodie will be forever grateful he gave up his dreams of being the next Jack Nicklaus, the next Jacques Cousteau or the next Larry Bird “to be their dad”.

Richard will be deeply missed by his wife LoEtta (Shelton) Nutt, loving father of daughters, Jodie (Nutt) Rodriguez, Jennifer (Nutt) Gutierrez, son-in-law Tony Gutierrez; stepfather to Gregory (Katja) Gagnon and, Ryan (Erin) Gagnon. Grandchildren; Noah (Lindsay), Natascha (Ben), Tony (Shelby) Jacob (Sara), Griffin, Kaydin, Austin, Gwendolyn, Keegan, and William. Great Grandchildren; Audrey, Lia and Lucas Sister; Janet (Mike) Larson. He was preceded in death by his father Guy Nutt Jr., mother Margaret (Friday) Horton and sister Beverly Mathes

The family wishes to thank the staff at Accent Care Lutheran Home in Wauwatosa and Aurora Mt. Pleasant Hospital ICU for their sincere care.
