Richard "Dick" Washburn

WASHBURN - Richard "Dick" Washburn passed away on January 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Richard Washburn and his sister, Cyndee Hulbert. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; son, Richard; daughter, Elizabeth (Josh); sisters, Grieg VanLandingham and Dorian Ulrich and his mother, Mjerial Bigalli. Dick was born in Rensselaer, Indiana on August 17, 1942. He graduated from Webster Academy in Webster, Massachusetts and attended Park College. He served in the United Sates Army, was commodore of Bay Haven Yacht Club and was a member of Sunnybrook Country Club and South Shore Yacht Club. He showed Tennessee walking horses, loved to sail, ride his Harley and won many cooking competitions. Dick was a friend to everyone and was a wonderful father.
