Richard Allen Brenner passed away on May 11, 2015, after a short, but courageous battle with cancer. Born on February 28, 1948, in Allegan, MI to Richard E. & Betty (Marshall) Brenner both having preceded him in death. Rick grew up in Otsego, MI, attending Otsego High School. He was drafted in 1968 to the US Army, fought the battle, and was wounded. Returning home with a Purple Heart and 4 Bronze Stars. He leaves behind a sister, Judy Warner; his loving children, Christian (Kelly) Brenner and Erica Brenner; four beautiful grandchildren: Tayvian, Devon, Paige & Seth; the mother of his children, Rose (Richard Freeman) and his special friend, Sue, who took wonderful care of him during his illness, and many other friends and loved ones. The family would like to extend many thanks to Wings of Hope Hospice, Allegan, MI for their assistance during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Wings of Hope Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Cremation has taken place. A gathering of friends and family will take place on Sunday, May 17th from 2 to 5 p.m. at the VFW #3030, 124 N. Farmer Street, Otsego, MI.
