Rexford Earl Wallace passed away on Thursday, January 30th 2020 at the Life Care Center of Plainwell, at the age of 93. He was born on July 22, 1926 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to the late Elton Wallace and Agnes Hansen. He graduated from Central High School in 1944 and went on to marry his beloved wife, Elaine (Mottor) Wallace, whom he'd been married to for 72 years. He worked in printing at Sutherlands Paper Company, Kalamazoo Label and then retired from Impact Label in 1989. He loved to hunt and fish, was very artistic and enjoyed woodworking. Rexford was proud to be a Mason for 65 years and was a Shriner clown. Rexford was preceded in death by his parents and brothers: Jack Wallace and Dennis Wallace. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Wallace; Sons: James Wallace of Kalamazoo and Robert (Cindy) Wallace of Plainwell; Grandchildren: Brandon (Jennifer) Wallace and Ryan (Amy) Wallace; Great Grandchildren: Hunter, Easton, Avery and Reid. Rexford is also survived by his two brothers: Eldon Wallace and William Wallace. A visitation for Rexford will be held on Monday, February 3rd, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to start at 1:00 p.m. at Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 622 S Burdick Street, Kalamazoo, MI 49007. The interment will take place, following the funeral, at West Cooper Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in honor of Rexford to Life Care Center of Plainwell or the Saladin Shriners of Grand Rapids.
