WILLEMSEN, REGINALD Reginald "Reg" John Willemsen, of Grand Rapids, age 82, much loved father and husband went home to be with his Savior and Lord on March 15, 2014. Reg served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War. He worked 28 years at Michigan Bell as an engineer and before that he was a home delivery milk man for Woodworth Dairy. He also was a boy scout and a scout leader for several years. After retirement Reg and Norine were on staff at Good News Camp in Gladwin, MI and later volunteered with SOWERS around the country serving their Lord. He is survived by his daughters, Linda (Terry) Rottier; Kay (Scott) Schneider; foster son, Larry (Linda) Powers; grandchildren, April (John) Miller, Donna Rottier, Rachel (Josh) Baker, Chris (Leah) Rottier, Jamel (Kelsey) Rottier, Andy, Jeff, Kevonte, Hannah, Skylar, and Brandon Rottier; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Reg was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Clara (Wiggins) Willemsen; wife, Norine in 2013; and grandson, Matthew. The celebration of Reg's life will be 11 AM Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Belmont Baptist Church, 6446 Belmont Ave. Belmont, MI 49306 with Pastor Kurt Kigar officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 5-8 PM Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at the Pederson Funeral Home, 127 N. Monroe St. Rockford, MI 49341 and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at church. Interment will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park.
