DeYoung, Reanetta Reanetta Jane DeYoung went home to be with her Lord on July 14, 2016, at the age of 95. Reanetta was born September 11, 1920, in Galesburg, the daughter of Richard and Jennie (Dykehouse) Klepper. On June 2, 1943, she was united in marriage to Harold E. DeYoung. She was a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and longtime member of the Second Reformed Church. For many years Reanetta assisted her husband in running the family business "DeYoung Plumbing Company", but the most important part of her life was caring for and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold on July 1, 1989; she was also preceded by her parents, a brother Richard (Marilyn) Klepper and a sister Alice Jansma. Surviving are her children: David (Elaine) DeYoung, Philip (Betty) DeYoung, Stephen (Ruth) DeYoung and Elizabeth (Tony) LaRoma; grandchildren: Diane (Mike) Morgan, Debbie (Scott) Dobberteen, Kristin Anderson, Matthew (Lindsay) DeYoung, Melissa (Nick) Piontek, Nicholas (Courtney) DeYoung, Zachary DeYoung and Tonya VandenHout; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law Rev. Donald Jansma; nieces and nephews. A memorial service to celebrate Reanetta's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 26th, at the Second Reformed Church (2323 Stadium Dr.) with Pastors Donald Jansma and Donald DeYoung officiating. The family will receive friends at the church for an hour prior to the service time and immediately following the service during the reception. A private family interment will be held in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials in Reanetta's memory may be directed to the Second Reformed Church Memorial Fund or Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan. Arrangements by Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
