Raymond Spaulding

Raymond L. Spaulding, Jr., aged 83, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, February 20, 2008. Raymond served in the US Army in Burma during WWII where he was a member of Merle's Marauders. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Emma Spaulding; his wife, Ernestine "Steen" Spaulding; his sister, Shirley; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Rose Harris. He is survived by his children, Pam (Keith) DuBois and their children, Mark and Jenny DuBois, and Dan (Pat) Spaulding and their children, Sarah, Emily, and Katie Spaulding; his sister, Leatrice Andree; brothers, Neal (Mary) Spaulding, Nyle (Linda) Spaulding; a sister-in-law, June (Bill) Oliver of FL; and very close friend, Judy McCrone. The family would like to express their thanks to the staff of Covenant Village and Hospice of Michigan for the wonderful care given to Raymond. The Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, at Open Bible Church, 3065 Alger St. SE, with Rev. Dan Spaulding officiating. Interment in Floral View Memorial Gardens.
