VanDyke, Randall "Randy" Randy VanDyke, age 64, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on December 19, 2022. He is now with his Lord and Savior. Randy was born in Grand Rapids, MI on October 10, 1958, to Marvin and Dorothy (VanderZouwen) VanDyke Sr. He was a graduate of Gull Lake High School and Western Michigan University. Randy started his business R. VanDyke Building & Remodeling, LLC in 1981. The business continues to be run by his family. Randy's greatest joy in life was his family. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and trapping. He loved classic cars and trucksespecially his 1969 Chevy Camaro Z28 RS. Randy leaves behind his loving wife of 43 years, Cheryl; his son Josh (Rachael) VanDyke; daughter Carrie (Frank III) Bowman; six grandchildren: Brayden Bowman, Emily Bowman, Alyse VanDyke, Tysen VanDyke, Aurora VanDyke and Keona VanDyke; he is also survived by his father and stepmother Marvin and Barb VanDyke Sr.; siblings: Marv (Charlotte) VanDyke Jr., Bruce (Deb) VanDyke and Jeff (Karen) VanDyke as well as his brother-in-law Duane (Josie) Andrus and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy VanDyke and his sister Cheri Andrus. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 6 at gracespring Bible Church; 8643 Gull Road, Richland, MI 49083. Visitation at 12:00 p.m. and service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Kalamazoo Christian Schools, the University of Michigan Rogel Cancer Center or gracespring Bible Church.
