Randall Markus

Loving Husband and Father Randall Scott "Randy" Markus, 55, of Sylva, NC passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family after a short battle with cancer on November 30, 2016. He was a native of Portage, MI but was a mountain man at heart. He worked at Heritage Guitar for 12 years as the neck roller for many famous guitar players. Born June 11, 1961 to Jerry and Pat Markus of Portage, MI. He leaves behind his beloved children, Amber, Dylon, and Seth Markus; his wife of 16 years, Anita Markus; sisters, Sandy (Gary) Steinbach of Kalamazoo and Kim (Jeff) Musser of Portage, MI; nieces, Ashley Boettcher and Rachael Richardson; nephew, Kevin Steinbach along with multiple cousins, other nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday December 10, 2016 at St. Catherine of Siena, 1150 W Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49024. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.
