Phyllis LaForge

Phyllis LaForge, age 76, of Otsego, MI passed away December 31, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center in Hilo Hawaii. Phyllis was born December 6th, 1939, in Malden Missouri the daughter of Eugene and Aline (Pryor) Book. Phyllis worked many years as a Nurse and Nursing Administrator at Borgess Medical Center. On June 6th, 1960 she married Richard LaForge. They were married 51 years before he preceded her in death on March 24th, 2012. Phyllis was a member of the United Methodist Church in Otsego MI and The United Methodist Church in Hilo Hawaii. Phyllis worked with many charitable organizations including the Peanut Butter Ministry, Mobile Health Care and helped the elderly with their taxes via AARP. Phyllis is survived by sons Mark LaForge, Greg (Sheri) LaForge, grandsons Eric (Brenna) LaForge and Kevin LaForge. A visitation will be held Friday, August 26th, 10:00 am at the Otsego United Methodist Church followed by a Celebration of Life service at 11:00am. Contributions in memory of Phyllis can be made to either Good Hands Plainwell or Christian Neighbors.
