Phillip (Phil) Alan Page, 86, of Grayson, Georgia, formerly of Kalamazoo County, Michigan, peacefully passed into eternal rest on January 9, 2017. Phillip was born in Alanson, Michigan in 1931 to Harvey James Page and Dorothy Mannion Page. He graduated from Little Field Township School in Alanson. He was married to Ruth Jean Vander Kolk. They were married 64 years. Philip, an aviation pilot, worked as an aircraft sales and service representative for Cessna Aircraft and Kal Aero for over 28 years. He enjoyed flying and playing golf, and was committed to a walking regimen for many years. An avid sports fan, he, along with his wife Ruth, enjoyed attending Atlanta Braves games, attending the Masters, watching college and professional football and baseball, and attending local sporting events. They enjoyed an active social life with their neighbors and family in the Portage, MI area. For over 20 years, the couple traveled from their home in Michigan, annually to Gulf Shores, Alabama where they enjoyed spending the winters with a large number of their "snowbird" friends. In 2010, they relocated to Georgia to be close to immediate family. They also enjoyed spending time in Venice, Florida with friends and family, and traveling to visit family in Michigan and California. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Page; son, Douglas Page and daughter-in-law, Deb Page, of Grayson, GA; his grandson Drew Page and great-granddaughter Heather Walker Page, also of Grayson; his sister Marilyn Wilde of Traverse City, Michigan and other family and friends.Philip was preceded in death by his parents, sister Frances Page, brothers James and Stanley Page, and his granddaughter Heather J. Page.A Celebration of Life will be announced at a future date. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Life Care Center of Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, GA, and the staff of Crossroad's Hospice for their compassionate and professional care and support.
